Germán Velasco Arquitectos is an organization specialized in architecture and interior design in Mexico City. The ideal projects for hotels, restaurants and houses is defined by a team that has the necessary experience and tools to transform all the required elements in the spaces that suit the needs, tastes and dreams of their clients.

Each project is a new challenge for this great team of architects and interior designers, which with the support of an amazing multidisciplinary team create concepts where the target is always to rewrite the rules. Their goal is to develop a different and proposing style that in many occasions turns out to be irreverent.

Germán Velasco Espinosa

He studied architecture at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. Finishing his graduate studies he knew he needed to get deeper knowledge of space design, because in the university the projects were done to satisfy a function, but without achieving the ultimate goal, to create full environments that consider everything materials, lighting and furniture, something that has always thrilled him.

He signed up for the Interiors Master in the same university where he realized that interior design was also his passion. His wide experience in architecture and interior design has allowed him to fully develop and has been fortunate to collaborate in important projects such as the Mandarin Oriental in the Mayan Riviera, as part of the team of architect Girlberto Borja in Baia Group.

Years later, as partner of Muro Rojo Arquitectura, he participated in the development of important projects such as the Hotel Brick in Mexico City, restaurant Cumpanio in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato and Hotel Bö in San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas, just to mention a few that have received important awards.

Today he is the director of his own firm: Germán Velasco Arquitectos, specialized in hotels, restaurants and residential architecture and interior design. For Germán and his team, each project is a new challenge in which they rewrite the rules by being: different, proposing and sometimes even irreverent.

He is founder member of the jury of the Mexican Interior Design Prize PRISMA.
